Setting the standard for versatility in geotechnical monitoring: Learn how to get the most out of ShapeArrayTM from the experts that use it

Three case study presentations of ShapeArray applications

This webinar will take place on:

DATE: Tuesday, September 29, 2026 | TIME: 9:30 am EDT / 2:30 pm BST

When faced with evaluating the many solutions available for lateral and horizontal displacement monitoring, what better way to evaluate the options than by hearing from the experts directly?

Join Orica Digital Solutions' Gary Logan, along with Anders Jansson, WSP Sweden, Samuel Fournier-Bidoz, Solexperts, and Dr. Nicola Bicocchi, Geotechnical Observations, for a live webinar that provides an in-depth look at Measurand’s ShapeArrayTM’s and its unique versatility through three case studies. These three partners will share what made them choose ShapeArray to meet the monitoring requirements for their projects, focusing on convergence monitoring, landslide monitoring, and rail infrastructure monitoring.

Anders Jansson, Senior Project Manager, with WSP Sverige AB, Geometrik Department will present: Shotcrete and borehole grouting of SAAX and SAAV arrays in tunnel production environments in the Gothenburg West Link tunnel project, Sweden: Challenging clients to abandon traditional vertical to horizontal inclinometer measuring techniques for fast and robust installations with near real-time monitoring at reduced cost.

Samuel Fournier-Bidoz, project Manager Geotechnics and Monitoring with Solexperts will present: Landslide monitoring along a pipeline in Albania. The presentation will focus on how ShapeArray formed the monitoring system used to provide continuous measurements of ground movement and allowing changes in slope behaviour to be followed over time.

Dr Nicola Bicocchi, Technical Manager, with Geotechnical Observations Limited will present: Trial embankment monitoring for a major infrastructure project. This presentation will go through the installation methodologies for the horizontal displacement and settlement monitoring and an overview of the monitoring results.

Samuel Fournier-Bidoz

Project Manager Geotechnics and Monitoring

Solexperts

Samuel Fournier-Bidoz has been a geotechnical engineer at Solexperts for almost 10 years. His work involves the application of field measurements and monitoring systems to better understand the behaviour of structures and the ground in which they are built. At Solexperts, Samuel works with conventional geotechnical monitoring methods, including deformation and displacement measurements, inclinometers, extensometers, borehole measurements and other geotechnical instrumentation, as well as distributed fibre-optic sensing for strain measurements. These measurements provide practical information to help manage construction and natural risks. He also contributes to the development of Solexperts IoT.

Anders Jansson

Senior Project Manager, Field Services E & E

WSP Sverige AB, Geometrik Department

Anders has seven years of experience representing WSP Geometrik, one of Sweden’s leading consultants in subsurface measurement technology, providing expertise and tailored solutions for geotechnical monitoring programs in major construction and infrastructure projects. Holding a M.Sc in Geophysics and 18-years background in the field of Marine Oil & Gas seismic imaging, he has since then developed deep insight and interest in ground deformation monitoring with focus on operational performance and people safety. Anders is currently acting WSP Project Manager for rock monitoring subconsultant services for several subsections and various construction companies contracted by the Swedish Transport Administration in building the West Link railway tunnel under the city center of Gothenburg, Sweden.

Nicola Bicocchi

Technical Manager

Geotechnical Observations

Dr Nicola Bicocchi is Technical Manager at Geotechnical Observations Limited, a company specialising in instrumentation and monitoring for the construction industry. He has worked on many high profile infrastructure projects like Heathrow Terminal 2B, Crossrail, Hinkley Point C and HS2. His role includes ensuring monitoring data is collected, processed and presented correctly. He also helps clients to understand monitoring data in the context of the problems being investigated. Nicola has a Laurea in Civil Engineering from the University of Bologna in Italy and a PhD on ‘Structural and geotechnical interpretation of strain gauge data from laterally loaded reinforced concrete piles’ from the University of Southampton.
